When we think of yellels and assessments, immediately we think of screeners and language proficiency assessments. So let's talk briefly about assessments and how not to over assess our e l l students. We want to have a good idea of where they're at, what scales are able to do. How can we really see more of what our students can do through assessments, rather than just give me the assessment to give the assessment?
