The G7's Nuclear Disarmament Vision

The G7 statement on nuclear disarmament is really interesting. It sort of comes to grips with some of the factual negative trend lines in so far as nuclear weapons are concerned. There's a clear sort of condemnation of Russian nuclear threats, a call in China to be more transparent and engage in dialogue concerning its nuclear arsenal. The North Korea language feels a little phoned into me. Not much has changed on North Korea. And everybody, I think acknowledges that very little is likely to happen in the short term.
