How Long Will a Check for Five Thousand Dollars Be Available for Refund?
My 18 year old daughter was scammed. She allowed a check to be deposited into her account, and she was instructed to send money to various apple pay and cash up accounts. The check was returned in three business days, but by then, the bank allowed all the money to be withdrawn from that check. We filed a fraud case with the bank, but they have yet to answer this question. I've always known banks to hold a check for a number of days before you can withdraw against it. Is this no longer the standard? Otherwise the scam would never have happened if the check was verified. So cynthia, this is ugly on many, many levels. This is like the puppy
