Is China Going to Be the Next Japan?

Most of the bullish narratives on what's happening in the Chinese debt system are that it will look like Japan. In Japan had an open cap account for about 10, I think like 20 years before they raised interest rates and popped the bubble. Whereas in China, you've had a close capital account, close capital account. And when you have pain in the banks and pain in the system, the money leaves because the balance of pressure is to go out as opposed to come in. That's a very different scenario. Maybe why it feels more existential for them not to perk the bubble. I don't know.
