The Oneida Community
The Oneida community was a utopian sort of socialist community in upstate New York. They were called perfectionists and they lived together in a big group marriage of about 300 men, women and children. All of the men were married to all of the women and they raised their children in common. It's just so interesting to see the creativity of people who decide to live in a very, very different way from the mainstream.
