The yonkers investigation started during the george w. Bush administration. The feds would spend a couple of years looking at allegation, but then the findings of the investigation would not be made public. It sunte sent his message to the committee that, you know, wellbe semtin wasn't unlawful. Maybe it wasn't that bad. And second, that list of things the police department was supposed othat was now enforcable by a federal judge.
