Saddam Begin's Moral Dilemma
In 1981, Saddam used the Iraqi state press to publish his uncle's almost laughably anti-seminic manifesto with possibly my favorite title of any book. He and Pawo Khrushchevin would have had a field day together. So yeah, safe to say that Saddam wasn't a great guy. And he really did not like Israel. As we learned in our Gulf War episode, Iraq had sent troops fight against the Jewish state in 48, 67, and 73. But the world's fifth largest army lost to tiny Israel every time.
