Aquinas's Natural Form

Aquinas says that natural forms like human beings are different from artificial ones. In natural realities, the formal determination occurs at a deeper level of the being of the thing and is not merely the product of an accidental arrangement of material parts. Of course, we should recognize that a material part such as an organ of a human body or an electron in an atom might be separated from the formal whole. And I will return to this below.
