Social License to Operate - Is Progress Slow?
i'm particularly interested in dissibility, because there is this view that perhaps a disabled human life is somehow less. You can actually observe this for a lot of other minorities. So i think this social license to operate idea is slowly gaining attraction, but i would view it as progress is slow. In britain, one and five people are disabled. And t its a very large minority globaly. I'd be interest in what you think philosophy has had to say about this. It's partly because when i've been reading around, i kind of felt that ideas which have come from disability studies, social models of disability seem to have progressed ideas here more than some main stream losophy.
