Introduction

Greens leader Adam Bant is on Australian Politics this week. He talks about the 'safeguard mechanism' that Tony Abbott has proposed to reduce pollution from Australia's heaviest emitters. The Greens are in negotiations with the government over what final form it will take. They say they're prepared to put all of those concerns aside and pass the scheme in full if there's one change which is don't open up new coal and gas projects.
