The Myth of the Rain Cloud and the Sun
The individual must be nourished from both below and above in the process of our growth. The whole side represented by myth and simple on the imagination on the emotions and vision is no less important for many people perhaps even more important than rationalism. We're currently dealing in this series of lectures with the parables myths and symbols of the Mahayana in the white Lotus Sutra. It's partly to make up for this deficiency that we're having this course on the parable myths and symbolisms of the white Lotus sutra.
