The Lovell Telescope
The lovell telescope is named after bernard lovell, the founder of jodrell bank. He came up with an idea for looking at the universe with this radio telescope. The gear rack came from the 15 inch gun turrets of two world war one battleships. They were used again in the second world war, andthen scrapped at the end of the second World War.
