The Cost of Working Illegally
After one year of being granted asylum, you can apply for a green card. That is $1,225 to apply for agreen card. And then the lawyer asks when $900 similar is asked for $1, 225 again. In my case, it was around $350. But sometime it might be more because if you did not have the vaccination or you do not have paper from your country and my cost more. I've been told it might take at least six months. Between now and then I cannot leave the country. This is why people try to work illegally. If the process was faster and less expensive, it would have been much better.
