How to Increase Academic Self-Concept

There's a meta-analysis about that and they say that feedback or praise has the largest effect size so effect size about 1.13 if you want to know. attribution or internally focused feedback seems to be effective in particular, but it flies in the face of mindset research by Carol Dweck. Marva Collins managed to actually raise the academic self-concept I believe for the entire class by basically telling them that she thought they were really smart. So this isn't something where it's necessarily a kind of zero-sum game where one person does well at school the other doesn't do as well as that person.
