The Onslow Court Hotel
Olive Haig was a widow. Her husband had been quite a war figure. He'd received the British military cross, one of the highest awards for bravery. And so at the age of 60 she was on her own heading towards her doateage as it were. As a care home, what we'd probably call a care home these days, she'd found the Onslow Court Hotel in well-to-do London area. She installed herself there and met John Haig who was only 40 years old.
