The Shadowy Second Dynasty of Rulers
The battle of Horus and Seth is a myth, but it may have a historical component. You see, the great contest of these gods might be connected with upheavals that gripped Egypt during the second phase of its royal history. So I'm going to revisit the story in a future episode, when we reach the historical phase in which the tale was written and copied onto papyrus, around 1300 BCE. That's a ways away, but it will be good.
