The Importance of Being a Father
I feel like there is a sense also in here, though, at least in a few poems of almost like the idea that you can live twice. And what I mean by that is like in your poem tradition, you're talking about making French toast the way that your father made French toast with your kids. In a way, it's almost like your father is inhabiting you and you are inhabiting him and you are also inhabiting your children as when you were children. That's beautifully put so much of my being a father does feel like a sort of flattening in time.
