The German Military Dilemma
The German military was able to isolate and quarantine the kaiser himself, the imperial war lord of germany. Who's going to do that in the second world war? Nobody. Cause it's an ideological state, and the ideology plays as large a role, or a larger role, in everything. An ideology, by the way, is absolutely key for understanding the second World War at all.
