i was reading a, andrew robert's biography of churchill. He was planning on becoming an MP but died early. It reminded me of this little passage from a william durshwit's book,. excellent sheep. If you can get into a really good school and then go straight from there into consulting or banking, it is a pretty conformist thing to do. And so i don't actually, i don't know that the schools really make people conformist. There's a lot of randimness at the top now. The more stratified things are, the more likely it is that any one person is where they are because they were underslept on test day.
