The ruling impacts a policy, but not the underlying principle of valuing diversity. I think we're going to see colleges and universities get very creative in how they recruit and admit students. Another option is to ramp up wealth or income based affirmative action which does remain legal under the latest decision. And that would provide opportunity to students regardless of their race.
