Are We Adaptable to Our Environment?
Human beings are able to change their environment in ways the other animals can't. This is why human babies are embryonic or neotonous for so long, compared to any other animal. And that's because we're we don't have inherited knowledge of how to be us. So when we start being mostly memetic and the other species, or still largely genetic, we are getting adaptive based on abstract pattern replicators,. We can increase our predactive capacity much faster than they can increase there. Then the environment can increase its resilience to or predative capacity, which means that we can debase the whole substrat that we depend upon. There is this kind of symmetry of the genes that make
