The Risk of Stroke in Patients With Clonal Hematopoiesis

Several studies have reported an increased risk of ischemic stroke in individuals with Clonal Hematopoiesis. The study identified 348 somatic mutations with a VAF of 1% or greater in 236 out of 581 patients and 41% of analyzed patients. A total of 97 cardiovascular events, 50 deaths, 42 strokes, and 5 myocardial infarctions occurred over a median follow-up of 36.2 months.
