I would go to the mailbox every day waiting for that self-address stamped envelope to come back. I of course did submit that novella to John Sanford's editor, who is now a friend of mine,. And I told him about it and he was like, yeah, I don't even remember that. Because I did it under a different name. When it was a full length novel, when it was, it was clearly a franchise character at the time. So this was 2005 when all this was really happening. And my first book came out in 2007.
