The Power of Longing

The blues is the sort of classic example but really all genres of music are about the same thing. So it's either you're trying to get somebody or trying to get someone back. Those are pretty much the two options. And I think it's because that, for me, at least the experience of longing is very related to my creativity. It's rare that I get inspired to write a song feeling joyful because I just want to sit around and feel joyful.
