Torture memogay published a column saying, when compassion trumps excellence. I think the idea that individuals have the power to engage each other and build bonds and agreements and covenants is very profound. And it's really only because they take it on faith and they need some kind of external justification that you need all the civil society. Really, government is just this necessary evil that we have in order to make sure that those things can subsist and thrive.
