The New York Times announced after this opinion piece by Tom Cotton came out in cause of controversy that what they would do is they would add fact checking. It was a non sequitur because the issue wasn't Tom Cotton's facts. It was his opinion. They didn't like his opinion that perhaps it was time for federal agencies to get the city's under control, which as you might recall, there were folks inside of the White House who did not and recommended against law and order.
