The Difference Between Severe and Mild Disasters

If John always prefers end of story a world in which he himself makes a bigger difference then it looks like he must prefer a world inWhich the disaster is severe. So that kind of seems anti-alteristic. But from a practical point of view at least it seems like we shouldn't be too worried about this thing because it can't lead him towards worst actions. That's what the rest of the talk is about. Specifically I want to focus on what happens if you combine thinking in terms of making a difference with risk aversion in a way that seems natural.
