The Importance of Legitimacy in Politics

Theory of justice and legitimacy deals in part with justification and permissibility. So like unjust policing, right, that's impermissible. It's not justified. But a lot of people think that political power is so important that agents of the state can be permitted to exercise power in ways that are not completely just. And so we can distinguish justice sort of like full justice from legitimacy, which is less demanding.
