The History of Science
I find it fascinating that all the characters in this story, until the 19 hundreds, are christians. And i wonder if the explanation is simply, well, of course, people back then were christians. Or do you see some deeper connection between the christian world view of these scientists and the kinds of theories that were developing throughout the scientific revolution? I think god as creator, god as maintainer, means that there is an ultimate reality that really acts as a foundation for science.
