The Importance of Understanding Stress Cardiomyopathy

Stress cardiomyopathy is a disease that affects middle aged men after physical exertion. We just know that after menopause your risk goes up, so we sort of are guessing that this is being researched. My hope would be that as we study this and we begin to understand the mechanistic principles behind it, we can use it as treatment options for other things. How cool would that be if we could control that pathway?
