The Corruption of Homophobia
I don't think the state is interested in pursuing homosexual relationships universally. I mean, homosexuality is something that is practicing the schools that they go to and it's pretty commonplace and it's permitted. The way it's characterized in the Cleveland Street case is not about taking advantage of people who are too young perhaps to consent or the homosexual nature of the relationship. It's rather about the question of corruption, the establishment corrupting people who are easily corrupted. There's this sort of him being a corrupting influence.
