The Pros and Cons of a Competitive Process

A competitive process is usually set up with very tight deadlines. It can be difficult for bankers to get a true sense of JL's culture in the middle of that process. We're not an M&A shop like a private equity firm, we have multiple stakeholders that need to be involved. And I would really attribute a lot of that to the personal interaction that we're able to establish and that rapport which is just harder to get to through a competitive process.
