The idea of equality and equity are not the same thing. The distance that we're running is not where we need to start it's how much we need to do in order to get there. It would be like if a shorter person ask you know they needed to clean the windows and the windows are really tall you wouldn't say well you just have to cleaning the high windows give them a ladder right. That really struck me yeah absolutely combined with this idea of fairnessYou know people thinking that fairness is also equality that to be fair is is you know I get the candy bar and we break it in half and fair is You get half and I get half but it's not equitable right exactly?

Racism is solvable, but that doesn’t mean we will solve it. To close the gap between the probable and possible, we need to have meaningful conversations.
