There's a very stark work contrast between the scene where right at the beginning danny is crying and wailing and he's just kind of sitting there like you know i don't know what to do. The flip side of that which is within the cult the community there's that moment where she cries and wails and all those girls are gathered around her. There's a certain element of it where you can kind of see how this attitude could be enticing, says Aster.
