The Primacy of the Starting Pitcher Argument

There's a lot of guys who should be 18 batter starters, but you also need to develop the guys who were 27 batter starters. We've reduced workloads in the major leagues and parallel to that, we've reduced workloadS in the minor leagues. I think Paul Skeens will go to the nationals fast because he was throwing 120 pitches basically every game down the stretch for LSU. You'll see some six, seven inning outings. The way we live now, any pitcher break is just a damn shame.
