I've Never Been in the Bank, and I Would Treat What the Bank of England Models Said With One Ot, Just a Pinch of Salt
I suppose i'm a bit of an outsider. I've never been an econometrician, and i haven't got much time for econometric models. My approach has always been to pay a good deal of attention to history. By the way, i'm not sure how many people on the m pc had a clear grasp of recent economic history. They were too influenced by what happened at the time of the financial crisis. And certainly, if i were in the bank, i would treat whatever the bank of england models said with one ot, just a pinch of salt, but several barrels of it.
