Ramadan can be a very tiring commitment, and many TV companies know that you've got an active audience. I come from a Gujarati background where my parents always told me that the TV should be shut in Ramadan. Is this a bad thing for Muslims? And if it is, how do we overcome this type of trivializing Ramadan and trivializing its minutes? So here we have to be quite tricky. There's something about ourselves and there's something about the community. No motive should be too small for someone to feel a part of this huge celebration of revelation through communal devotion and communal eating.
