There is a lot in the storyline about trust and belief. Knowledge plays a huge part of the story when Alison is cutting the birth control out of her leg. And you know, I wrote this before we knew about Snowden and the CIA keeping information from all of our digital communications. But that's a big part of why IT is in charge.
