What Happened to the Stator?

The Kawasaki ZG-1000 has been on the road for two years. It was being a little bit jazzy when it got to Fairbanks, Alaska. The original stator had failed because of over-attached wiring harness. So with that bike, I went the only place where I could easily work - Mexico City. And but the idea is still there to retrieve the bike up in Alaska, eventually have it fixed and continue traveling or continue traveling with another bike.
