The Booth Bay Experiment
The town of booth bay has installed solar panels, air conditioning units and even a small generator. The goal was to get rid of every old, inefficient bulb in the town. They also paid people extra to point their solar panels west so they'd be generating most in the early afternoon when stress on power lines is greatest.
