The Central Hypocrisy of Daniel Plainview
Daniel plainview reminds me of don draper in that way. Any time some one else is living even slightly hypocritically, it mirrors his own hypocrisy and he has to eradicate it. And so that is what he cant stand about eli sunday's hypocrisy,. because he understands that that is purely capitalist as well. It just enrages him so much that he murders right? He himself is aware of that hypocrisy in his life, but is never able to make his peace with it. That is so deeply americanioodtoe. It's so capital ast write, the nature of the hypocrisy is violence.
