Keynes thought that the world had for thousands of years lived in conditions that were defined by scarcity. He predicted a century hence, so that's a decade from now, that we would be working 15 hour weeks. And he saw that as a kind of golden age in which people would be creating works of art and cultivating their relationships with others.
