The Last Years of Israel

The Assyrians annihilated the northern kingdom of Israel, deporting its ten tribes into oblivion. Those in Israel and Judah who wanted to accommodate Assyrian policies did so knowing that they would face burdens but at least their countries would survive. In episode 1.47 we left the kingdom of Judah at the death of King Amaziah in 786 BC. He was captured by the House of Jehu and his capital, Sat, but he was allowed to remain on the throne.
