Narcissists do not see their partners as individuals and therefore only work from the framework of their own emotional, narcissistic cognitive experience. The idea of believing the right situation or event could help change the narcissist may foster the delusion that the client can save their loved one. It is not our job to tell a client to leave but rather help them manage their expectations if they stay.
