The Early Church Fathers
Some of the church fathers either don't have the same precision that we would like, or they're not as consistent as we would like. The problem is we cannot help but read the New Testament and the church fathers in light of what we hope happens next. They may not have been very, not as very, or not as consistent in their language. But I do think there are some church fathers who really are making absolute claims.
