Dorsian trains younger players who, like him, want to shot at making a career out of baseball. He traces his lifelong love of baseball to his father, who introduced Dorsian to the game long before he can remember. For most of his life, Dorsian says he didn't really see anyone who looked like him playing his position in pro baseball. There was not a single HBCU alumni on any major league baseball team this year's opening day.
