Even when prices are right, many people will still make poor decisions. So even with our current low prices of energy, people are failing to buy the most efficient models that would save them money. Even if we get prices right, there is still room for nudging by makin the prices more salient. The evidences on automatic thermistats can help a lot, but they would help even more if they were easier to use and if they were more automatic.
