The Importance of Understanding the Reasons for Absences
There can be protected leave that is protected by various regulations. Even if they have exhausted, not saying it has to be paid. So that's something that employer wants to really look at what's going on with that employee. If you see a pattern and it does appear to be a medically, medical-related situation, you don't have to wait until they run out of sick leave to address it.
