The Risks of Cannabis Use in Addiction Medicine
How would clinicians communicate these results with patients today? It depends on what type of clinician we're talking about. I think if you are a clinician working within addiction medicine, you should maybe look at your patients that use cannabis or particularly those who might use it at a level that you couldn't consider problematic. You could certainly try and find out whether these patients of yours had their effective disorders caused by the use of cannabis. Based on this data, we don't know if stopping cannabis would then make their symptoms disappear but it would still be very relevant in terms of relapse prevention.
