Multi-disciplinary teams, reimbursement scheme and recruitment by practices have brought a wider range of staff into general practice in recent years. But we've obviously got way more pharmacists and allied health professionals working in general practice now. So does that change the numbers of patients that GP should have around safe limits, do you think? It's worth mentioning here that any notional optimum number of patients per GP can only be a guideline. What you really need will vary to some extent, depending on the population the practice serves and things like the reality of the practice.
